D'Angelo Flores

"Chimera" was directed by Bowie High School student D'Angelo Flores. It tells the story of a young man who hears a noise in his house and when he investigates the sound, he is sent to an alternative reality.

Fatimah Jawad

"Pain inside Polygamy" was directed by UTA Graduate Film student Fatimah Jawad. The film tells the story of a Muslim convert and her struggle to accept that her husband has added a second wife to the marriage.

Ryan eats apple

Ryan Britton

"Not Abel" was directed by UTA 2014 graduate Ryan Britton. His film tells the story of a tenacious meth dealer who sets out on a violent course to prove his worth after his twin brother gives up the business to protect family.

Jean-Patrick Mahoney

Jean-Patrick Mahoney

"Phone Ghost" was directed by UTA Graduate Film student Jean-Patrick Mahoney. The film tells the story of a widowed retiree who is coping with the loss of her husband, a strained relationship with her daughter and the prospect of her looming death. Also, there's a ghost in her phone.

Ya'Ke Smith

Ya'Ke Smith

"dawn." was directed by UTA Professor and filmmaker Ya'Ke Smith. This film won Best Texas Short Film at the 2014 Dallas Videofest and will be featured on HBO in February. It tells the story of dawn who after several prison stints is determined to right her wrongs, but the years locked away may have damaged her.
